This is a beautifully simple little wooden box made from birch wood. It has two compartments and a hinged lid and is the ideal place to store your chess men. This box is ideal for chess men up to 2.5 inches in size. Larger boxes are also available. This fine little box has been manufactured in Europe to a good standard. A finely crafted Maple and Mahogany chess board with veneered top and sides. Each square is a separate inlay of wood and has been perfectly positioned. This fine example has been crafted in Europe and must not be confused with cheap Chinese copies. The clean crisp lines and finish add to the overall feeling of quality. The base of the chess board has 4 green felt pads to prevent scratches on your table top. What we like most about this board is it’s clean and clear appearance. The light maple wood has a beautiful fresh tone, the edges are clean and crafted to near perfect geometry. This fine chess board has a square size of 49mm (approx 2 inches) and is ideal for our medium sized chess men from 3.25 inches.
This crafted wooden chess set has been fashioned from solid ebony, rosewood and boxwood. The result is a stunning set with a beautiful board and finely detailed chess pieces. The board is carefully crafted from individual squares of wood. Each is 2mm thick and has been inlaid perfectly to create a stunning chess board. Housed inside the cabinet are the solid wooden pieces, carved from Sheesham and Boxwood. Fashioned in the Staunton style they have a fantastic attention to detail and a nice edged feel to them. Each piece has a magnetic green base to it which allows it so stick to the wooden board .A beautiful set that has been finished to a very high standard.

The drawer is held in place by a sprung ball device that prevents it from coming out when not required. A very good standard of finish gives this product a lovely natural wood feel to it. The highly detailed pieces, carved in the Staunton style are non-weighted. The pieces sit inside the drawer which is lined with plush green felt. Although there are no draughts pieces included there is ample space inside the drawer to add your own or indeed any other games related items that are small enough to fit inside. The base of the cabinet is also lined with felt to ensure your table top does not suffer scratches.

The Pearl chess set is a beautiful example of classic European chess set design. Our 18 inch Club chess set is another fine example from the talented Polish chess producers. A large chess set fashioned in the classic European style with contemporary Staunton chess men that have a distinct European feel to them. This is a lovely medium sized folding chess set with real character. Hand finished from Mahogany and Birch it features an inlaid board with notation and a very robust sturdy cabinet. The chess pieces are fashioned in the staunton style with a very heavy European influence. They are non weighted and have black felt bases. What makes this chess set unique is the corner bevelling around the edges of the cabinet. They have been carefuly angled to expose the light birch wood which forms part of it’s unique character and design. A solid and very well made chess set that has been hand crafted in Europe.
