A solid rosewood chess board using the unique ‘cross corner’ design that has proved very popular since it’s launch in 2008. This great example is a huge piece of solid rosewood with no veneers present. Each square is a 5mm thick piece of solid rosewood or boxwood. Placed in the board by skilled craftsmen with years of experience.This example has been lacquered and polished to a medium gloss which results in a stunning finish that is just asking you to run your finger across the board to test it’s smoothness. The grain and tone of the Indian rosewood is like no other wood we have seen, a beautiful deep red / brown with beautiful figuring. With the price of ornate hardwoods like this rising and stocks depleting we are delighted to be able to offer a small quantity of these boards at an affordable price.
